“Investigation work blended with a fun moment and dog.”

Lead consultant Jill Manfrinato MCIPD

I’m a CIPD Chartered Member and accredited workplace investigator with 23 years of police experience, retiring as an Inspector after an injury on duty. My background includes chairing the Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and extensive safeguarding work, managing and presenting complex domestic abuse cases in court. This experience shaped my commitment to fairness, trauma‑informed practice, and meticulous, evidence‑based decision‑making.

I bring strong legal knowledge, a deep interest in employment law, and first-hand insight as a former Employment Tribunal claimant — giving me a uniquely balanced understanding of fairness, process, and people. I specialise in workplace investigation, HR investigation, and disciplinary investigation, alongside designing and delivering training on the Equality Act that reduces discrimination and legal risk in the workplace, promoting inclusive practices.

As a trusted HR partner, my work helps organisations reduce stress, improve retention, and resolve complex issues with clarity and confidence. I love solving problems, writing policies that genuinely work for people, and supporting organisations to build fair, inclusive, and legally robust cultures. If you’re looking for an impartial appeal process or an independent investigation, feel free to contact us.

Outside of work, you’ll find me walking with Orso the dog and enjoying time outdoors.

Why choose an independent Investigator or chair?

Why choose an independent investigator or chair? Independence brings credibility, neutrality, and assurance — especially when matters are complex, sensitive, or high-risk. The ACAS Code highlights this clearly: “Employers and employees should always seek to resolve disciplinary and grievance issues in the workplace. Where this is not possible, employers and employees should consider using an independent third party to help resolve the problem.” By opting for an independent investigation with an external investigator or chair, you significantly reduce the risk of bias, conflict of interest, and procedural error. This choice also showcases your commitment to inclusivity and good practices, ensuring fairness and transparency.
